Week 1 - Camp Buttercream Cake

Instructor: Brooke O’Dell, owner of Sugar Drop

In week one, students will learn the art of baking the perfect cake. From mixing and pouring, to crumb coating and decorating, students will be guided through each step of the process to create the perfect chocolate and vanilla cakes and American buttercream. Students will spend three days working and designing their themed cakes all while learning techniques in buttercream including piping, covering, design transfer, and much more.

WEEK 2 - cAMP cOOKIES

Instructor: Laura Watson, owner of Laura’s Custom Cookies

In week two, students will learn the art of baking the perfect chocolate and vanilla sugar cookies. They will also learn how to create the perfect royal icing in a variety of consistencies. Students will create three complete sets of themed royal icing cookies all while learning techniques in wet on wet, flooding, molds, water coloring, and much more.

Week 3 - Camp Cupcake

In week three, students will learn the art of baking the perfect cupcake! From frostings and fillings to designing and decorations, students will create three sets of themed cupcakes while learning techniques in buttercream, fondant, chocolate work, and much more.

Week 4 - nAILED iT! & cUPCAKE wARS


Instructor: Brooke O’Dell & Madison Drexler

In week 4, students will see if they can survive the sugar rush of two challenges!

Day 1, Students will learn the art of working with cake, fondant and buttercream to create a 2D Popsicle Party cake.

Day 2, Students will work with their partner and use their skills on a Nailed It! Challenge to replicate a 2D Chef’s Choice inspired cake.

Day 3, Students will learn how to work with cupcakes, frostings and fillings to create a 3D cupcake sandcastle.

Day 4, Students will work with their partner using their skills on a Cupcake Wars! challenge to create a thematic based set of cupcakes, frostings and fillings that will be announced the day of camp.

Brooke O’Dell and Sugar Drop Pastry Chef, Madison Drexler with work together to lead and instruct this week.

Camp will run Monday- Thursday, July 8-11, 10-12:30

Week 5 - CraziCake Camp



Instructor: Julie Berryman, owner of CraziCakes

In week five, students will take their cake baking experience to the next level by learning advanced techniques in baking, sculpting, fondant work and more. Students will start by learning the art of baking the perfect cake and making silky Italian Buttercream. Students will design and create three thematic based fondant covered cakes all while working on advanced techniques including fondant water-coloring, quilling and pallet painting.

Week 6 - Christmas in July

Instructor: Brooke O’Dell, owner of Sugar Drop

In week six, students will create a variety of holiday inspired sweets and treats including a hand painted cookie puzzle, box of holiday chocolate favorites, box of filled cupcakes, and a fondant narwhal cake. They will learn the art of working with a variety of sugar mediums including fondant, chocolate buttercream cake, cookies, royal icing, and more. Students will be ready to deck the halls!
