Students learn to make French lavender lemonade, crepes with a whipped cream filling and chocolate sauce, scones with fresh berry sauce and honey butter, mille feuille, and pots de crème. This week’s cake is inspired by a French picnic, complete with fondant croissants and buttercream grapes.
Sugar Drop will be hosting its first-ever Summer Camp for five weeks, starting the week of June 10th. Camp will run from 10 am - 12:30 pm, Monday through Thursday, and is open to 10 children each week, ages 10 and older who feel comfortable in the kitchen and want to learn more!
Each week, students will spend the first three days learning hands-on techniques to create and execute pastries and desserts from around the world, beginning with a Journey to France during Week 1. On the fourth day of each week, students will create a cake inspired by the weekly theme. At the end of each day, students will be able to taste their self-made delicacies and take home any remaining sweets. Students will also receive a copy of each recipe created and a Sugar Drop t-shirt.
In addition, students will learn the importance of a clean kitchen workspace, knife skills and other kitchen essentials, all while building their culinary confidence, making friends and surviving the sugar rush at Sugar Drop!
Registration is open on SugarDrop.com/camp
Cost for each week: $325.00
Space is limited. There is no multiple sibling discount. Parents are asked to drop off at the beginning of each day and pick up at the end of camp.
